Inside Sales Engineer – Industrial Cameras and Imaging Systems

Rudzinsky Associates client is a leading designer and manufacturer of high performance, ruggedized industrial cameras and frame grabbers for various industrial, commercial, military and aerospace imaging applications. Markets served include flat-panel inspection, biometrics, aerial mapping, surveillance, traffic management, semiconductors & electronics, scientific & medical imaging, printing, homeland security, and space exploration.

To help achieve this goal, our client is looking for a technical sales engineer based in the SE to manage direct sales, OEM customers, and distributors in the USA. Please note that this is an In Office position, not remote or hybrid.


  • Manage customer accounts and relationships to further sales goals
  • Identify, prospect, and secure business opportunities with both new and existing customers to support new revenue growth
  • Follow-up on leads received directly, through emails, trade shows, and other channels of distribution to cultivate new business, or increase business with existing customers
  • Document sales activities, establishing customer database through SalesForce or other CRM sales tools
  • Actively manage the sales pipeline, improving ability to predict current and future sales

This is primarily an in-house position based at the client’s HQ in Florida, although a small amount of travel may be required as needed.


  • in Elect. Eng., Computer Science, Physics, Optics, or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years prior experience in a technical sales or applications engineering role with extensive customer-facing interactions preferred
  • Knowledge of industrial cameras and applications preferred
  • Technical knowledge of PCs, PCI/PCI Express, and peripherals (USB, etc.)
  • Experience selling to the military & defense market as well as industrial markets is a plus
  • Must be a US Citizen due to ITAR work


  • Ability to identify and call on decision makers in customer organizations
  • Skilled at call preparation, negotiations, and closing sales
  • High energy/enthusiastic – a hunter
  • Entrepreneurial and independently motivated
  • Persistent, able to overcome obstacles and answer customer objections
  • Consultative selling skills
  • Ability to sell complete imaging solutions, hardware, software
